Why YOU should be doing Reformer Pilates?

The Reformer is an AMAZING piece of equipment that can provide a low impact full body workout. It was originally developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th Century to aid the rehabilitation of bedridden soldiers after World War 1. Nowadays, it consists of a sliding carriage, springs, ropes and pulleys that allow you to stretch, lengthen and tone your muscles. The adjustable resistance ensures you can tailor the workout to your ability and fitness level.

Ellie

Ellie embarked on her Reformer Pilates journey while spending long hours in the corporate world. She loved the endorphin high and mental clarity after classes and quickly became obsessed, attending 3 classes a week. With a desire to share her passion for the transformative power of Reformer Pilates, she qualified as an instructor and completed additional training in Pre and Postnatal Pilates and Pilates for Peri-Post Menopause.

In her warm and nurturing classes, Ellie emphasises form and control, ensuring each movement is executed with precision. Ellie loves to see clients get fitter, stronger and healthier as a result of her classes.

Lauren

Lauren began her Pilates journey as a supplement to her dance training. She fell in love with it and completed her Polestar training in 2016. After graduating with her BFA in Dance Performance, she taught in physical therapy clinics and Pilates studios in the US, Australia and UK. Lauren also has an MA in Dance Anthropology and MSc in Creative Art Psychotherapy and Counselling, which further informs her approach to Pilates.

Lauren sees Pilates as an excellent way to maintain health, mobility, and strength along with rehabilitating and preventing injuries. The synchronicity of the body, mind and spirit is a benefit of the Pilates practice and an aspect that Lauren brings to every class.
